BE well: spring cleaning

Take a moment to ponder… be well.

What does that mean to you? Is it physical health? Mental health? Material wealth? I promise it means different things to different people. You may be thinking “oh to be rich and carefree like Paris Hilton, without a worry in the world” would be fantastic! Or you may be thinking that saving the whales and living in a tiny house is much more important. All of these things are “well”, if that is what is important to you. If it is what makes you feel fulfilled, or filled full. And there is no right or wrong answer. Now ponder… what about your life does not contribute to your being well? You know there’s something. Be honest with yourself. If living in a tiny house appeals to your sense of fulfillment, then what are you doing in that 3000 square foot house? Do you need it? Do you have ten kids? No? Then move. Is your job fulfilling? No? Start looking for a new one. Take action to begin working toward your wellness. It’s time for a little spring cleaning! When you let go, you’re creating space for something better.

Often times we are so caught up in the busyness of life and in our routine, that we never stop to ponder. We simply keep doing the same thing day after day and getting nowhere. Life is too short to not feel filled full every day. And so, I invite you to clean house. To let go of that which is no longer serving you. Maybe it is something much smaller, maybe you start with your list of Facebook friends. Maybe clean out your closet of all the items you never wear, or the “skinny jeans” that you have been holding onto that just make you sad when you look at them. If it is not adding to your wellness, if it no longer serves you, let it go. “What drains your spirit drains your body. What fuels your spirit fuels your body.” Caroline Myss Now, what fuels you? What makes you feel filled full? What do you totally and completely immerse yourself in that makes you forget about everything else? Go and do more of that. Add more of THAT to your life. Be well. Alive, but to be well.” Marcus Valerius Martial (cutting it short... busy this month with preparations for STUDIO GRAND OPENING MAY 1st!!! ;)
